Additional notesPlease be aware that access to Hatteras Island (location of Rodanthe) during storms may be affected. If you are traveling during Hurricane season (June 1-November 30) insurance is highly recommended. A link to several options to purchase travel insurance will be sent once booking is confirmed.
There are three cameras on the property, all located outside. They are for the protection of the property when not occupied and are not monitored.

Neighborhood overviewRodanthe is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and is known for it world class fishing, kite surfing and beautiful beaches. It served as the backdrop of the Nicolas Sparks novel and film adaptation of "Nights in Rodanthe" along with stories of shipwrecks and rescues it serves as your gateway to the Graveyard of the Atlantic.
You’re a mere 220 steps from one of the most incredible coastlines on earth. Cast off from the Rodanthe Pier, which is not only beautiful and historically significant, but provides a first-rate fishing spot. Typical of many seaside communities, the area’s amenities are plentiful. A very doable 20-mile drive brings you to either the Bodie or Hatteras Lighthouses.
